Anthony decided to enter this world with quite the bang. His heart rate dropped with almost every contraction and so I was hooked up to every monitor, wire and tube that they could find. Just as we were approaching the end his cord decided it would come out before him, cutting off his oxygen supply. My room was instantly full of doctors and nurses unplugging and unhooking the ridiculous amount of wires and tubes that I was attached to. I was wheeled into the OR while John was told to stay in the waiting room. There wasn't time for either of us to be told what was happening so we were both pretty scared. I was put under sedation and two minutes later Anthony was born not breathing and totally blue. Thankfully they were able to resuscitate him very quickly and he is doing just fine. They did nick his shoulder a tiny bit with the scalpel in their attempts to hurry, but it is healing fine. I had to receive two units of blood during the surgery, but I am doing great now. We are just so thankful to all of the doctors and nurses that helped to get our beautful little boy here safely.

Anthony really likes to be all rolled up and is frequently comforted by being held as much like a bowling ball as possible.
